Chaffee County is a year round Mecca

mountain trails or 14ers mountains,

ski area Monarch and surrounding
ones such as Copper Mtn, Ski Cooper,
Vail, Breckenridge, Keystone offer
outstanding down hill and cross
country skiing. We can’t forget

fishing available on our lakes,

The semi-arid climate provides little
humidity with summer highs 78-80 degrees
average and winter highs 45-55 degrees
average. With warm days and cool nights “the
banana belt of the Rockies” provides 300
days average of sunshine per year.
The area is the crossroads for US Hwy 24, 50
and 285. Approximately 2.5 hrs from Denver,
2 hrs from Colorado Springs and Pueblo and 1
hour to Gunnison with roads being accessible
year round.
